"Film student Eve Symington wants to shoot her thesis film in Guatemala so badly鈥he's hallucinating Guatemala all over Singapore!" Though most of the hallucinations pictured in this video are fictional, the sentiment is entirely true! I am a third year graduate student at New York University鈥檚 Tisch School of the Arts Asia, a film production program located in Singapore. Over the past three years, I have pursued a rigorous course in film directing and producing. For my thesis film, I am writing a story that takes place in Guatemala, a country I have been fascinated and inspired by for a long time. In the video, I describe the story synopsis as well as some of the reasons I can鈥檛 wait to go to Guatemala for production. I am passionate about combining travel and filmmaking; last year in my film program I got the opportunity to direct a film in Vietnam. I long to tell new stories for audiences that may not have a chance to experience these amazing places. Hopefully with the International Student Travel Video Contest鈥檚 help, I鈥檒l be able to realize this dream!
