Congratulations to Fiqah Rahman for "In the Light of Covid-19"
We look forward to celebrating International Education Week every year not only because we love to celebrate international students, educators and advocates but also because we get to announce the winners of our annual Travel Video Contest. In our 15th year of presenting the contest, with the COVID-19 pandemic affecting international education as we know it, we decided to go with a different name- TVC: Life After Lockdown. As always, international students from all over the world were welcomed to participate in this year鈥檚 contest but, as a new addition, we also welcomed cultural exchange participants to make video submissions. This time, we asked our participants to adhere to a different theme. Participants could either tell us how COVID-19 impacted their international education or cultural exchange program or tell us about their future plans after COVID-19.
We received 117 eligible entries this year which made choosing only 10 finalists a tough task. Although we could only choose 10 finalists, each of our entrants鈥 videos touched our hearts so we can only imagine how challenging it was for our judges to pick our final three winners.
Although a difficult task, our judges have conveyed their top picks and we鈥檙e pleased to announce the winners:
